Prain Global and Sopoong Ventures sign MOU to support social venture firms
Two companies help social venture firms that create social and business values
Partnership includes joint research on “social impact” communication
Prain Global announced on March 26, 2020 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sopoong Ventures Corp. (Sopoong), an impact seed investor and accelerator, to support growth of social venture firms.
Prain Global will provide complimentary PR consulting to social venture firms in which Sopoong has invested, helping them increase their corporate values and achieve quality growth powered by effective PR and marketing.
In addition, the two companies plan to collaborate in research projects to develop an impactful communication model and methodology which can help start-ups spread social values through their business.
Sopoong focuses on equity investments and fostering programs for start-ups that work to address social issues. It has invested in a total of 63 start-ups since 2008, and created an impact investment fund in March 2020 along with Jae-woong Lee, former CEO of Socar, and other business leaders.
Prain Global will provide an array of PR services for growth of social venture firms with the company’s experience and expertise it has built from about 2,000 PR projects.
