Prain Global acquired the investment equity in the HSBC building
On December 23, 2019, Prain Global acquired a portion of investment equity for the higher floor section (from 9th to 20th) of the Namdaemun HSBC Building (located at Chilpae-ro, Jung-gu), along with an asset management company, from a Singapore-based investment company. The lower floor section (from 1st to 8th) of the building is owned by HSBC Bank and currently used as the headquarters of the bank.
Prain Global plans to relocate all its affiliates, currently scattered across Gangbuk and Gangnam areas of Seoul, into the HSBC Building. In addition, Prain Global plans to invite them with its cooperative companies and startups that can create synergy for business.
The building is currently managed under No. 15 real fund by KCLAVIS Asset Management, a private equity fund management company.
